4 Simple Habits to Thrive (Not Just Survive) This Holiday Season:
The holidays are a time for joy—but they can also bring stress, overindulgence, and exhaustion. As your friendly life & fitness coach, here are 4 tangible habits to keep you glowing through the chaos:
1. Hydrate First, Indulge Second**
Before festive treats or cocktails, drink a glass of water. Hydration curbs cravings, aids digestion, and keeps energy steady. (*Pro tip: Add lemon or cucumber for a refreshing twist!*)
2. Move Daily (Even for 10 Minutes!)**
A short walk, stretch session, or kitchen dance party boosts mood, counters sluggishness, and reminds your body it’s meant to *move*—not just marathon-eat cookies.
3. Pause Before You Pile Your Plate.
At meals, ask: ‘Am I hungry, or just tempted’? Fill half your plate with veggies/protein first, then savor treats mindfully—without guilt.
4. Breathe Before You React**
When stress hits (family drama, last-minute shopping, *all the things*), pause for **3 deep breaths**. Inhale calm, exhale tension. Just 30 seconds can reset your mood and keep your nervous system in check.
