Job Summary:
1st Shift
Employment: Full Time
Schedule: 6:00Am- 6:00PM (Flexible minimum 8 hrs. per day)
Training Pay Rate: $15.00 (within the first 12 weeks of hired)
Pay Rate: Piece Work- Job pay by production
Start Date: ASAP
Assembles small parts of various materials such as plastic, metal, or rubber, to produce small subassemblies for various industries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Positions parts in specified relationship to each other.
• Bolts, screws, clips, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together.
• Loads and unloads previously setup machines such as arbor presses to perform fastening or force fitting operation.
• Complete assembly and/or packaging assignments as trained using documented processes.
• Maintains understanding of product quality requirements over all product categories and notifies the appropriate person of there are any product integrity concerns.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area.
Other Skills
• Excellent math skills: multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction of large numbers
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
• Ability to lift to 25lbs. The employee will frequently lift/move bins weighing 25lbs.
• Able to stay sitting down for a large portion of the day
• Have a high level of detail and accuracy
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stay sitting down for a large portion of the day, performing repetitive motions using hands to finger, handle, feel or reach with arms and hands. The employee is regularly required to talk, hear, walk, and stand. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Job Description:
• Supervises workers engaged in inspecting and assembling kits by performing the following duties.
• Assign and manage work for operators
• Quality inspection checks
• Help train operators
• Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations
• Additional responsibilities assigned by supervisor
Schedule 3rd Shift: 9:45 PM – 6:15 PM
Training 1st Shift: 5:45am to 2:15pm (6 weeks) depends how everything goes
Pay is hourly + $1 Shift Differential
• Examines items produced to determine if items meet specifications.
• Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
• Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
• Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
• Maintains time and production records.
• Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; OR one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
