We want to make sure everyone knows that ALL 45 Fort Worth Fire stations are Safe Place locations. Since September, we have seen a rise in the number of children being brought to our stations, for various reasons. Please know, that if you see a yellow placard (three versions pictured below) on a building, that it is a designated safe location, open 24 hours a day/7 days a week, for youth (0-18) in need of immediate help and safety.

Stay safe, .

Every year in the United States, about 3,500 babies die unexpectedly during sleep. This Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) accounts for about one-third of all sleep deaths in infants younger than 1 year old.

The Fort Worth Fire Department is a proud member of the Safe Baby Sleep Council, led by Cook Children's, and are passionate about helping families create the safest sleep environment possible to reduce the chance of SIDS.

Visit the website below for more information on how to keep your infant safe during sleep, to receive a baby sleep sack, or a “Sleep Baby Safe and Snug” children’s book. You can also contact us via email at [email protected].
