In 1957, Finnish-American architect Eero Saarinen designed the Modernist campus of the Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The minimalist Kramer Chapel's dramatic lighting effects came from a band of skylights and floor-level side window. Many American suburban churches followed this trendsetting A-frame structure’s standard of design.
