🎙️✨ Get the Kids on the Air This weekend! ✨🎙️
Looking for a fun, hands-on activity to share with your kids, grandkids, or local Scout troop this weekend? ARRL Kids Day is happening, June 20, from 1800 UTC to 2359 UTC (2:00 PM – 8:00 PM Eastern)!
Kids Day is a fantastic, relaxed event designed to give young people real, on-the-air experience. It’s the perfect, low-pressure way to spark a lifelong interest in STEM, electronics, and global communication—and maybe even help them foster an interest in getting a radio license of their own!
📻 How to Participate:
- Fire up the station and head to the suggested frequencies (like 28.350–28.400 MHz on 10 meters or 14.270–14.300 MHz on 20 meters).
- Call out "CQ Kids Day" to find other youth operators.
- Share the suggested exchange: Name, age, location, and favorite color!
🏆 Earn a Certificate!
Every young operator who participates can take home their very own colorful Certificate of Participation to commemorate their time on the airwaves! (pictured)
Check out and download the certificate on the ARRL website and learn more about the event:
