The city of Fort Wayne has announced they are taking applications for the 2025 HVAC Program so letās break down what this means for Fort Wayne homeowners:
1. WHAT IS IT?
The Office of Housing and Neighborhood Services (OHNS) HVAC program provides qualified homeowners with a 0% interest loan to have replacement or installation work completed by qualified contractors.
2. WHOāS ELIGIBLE?
This program is open to single-family, single-unit dwellings or condominiums located within Fort Wayne City Limits that pass habitability standards (unless the deficiency is addressed/remedied by this repair) and whose household income is 80% or lower than the Area Median Income of $72,000.
3. HOW DOES IT WORK?
Once your property and system has been deemed eligible and the program has coordinated and received bids for the project, you will have a meeting to receive funds in the form of a 0% interest mortgage loan.
