Strength is not about carrying everything on your own. It's about knowing when to speak up, ask for support, and take care of your mental health.
This Men's Mental Health Awareness Month, let's remember that many struggles happen beneath the surface. A simple conversation, a text, or a check-in can make a meaningful difference.

Events like Founders Day remind us of the power of community in recovery. Here's a message from our Alumni Coordinator, Alexis Shuler: "What an unforgettable and truly special day at the 91st Annual Founders Day this past weekend.
This was the first time all of us in our group of alumni from Northern Path Recovery Center, along with myself, had the opportunity to travel to Akron together and experience the history of A.A. and where it all began. From the moment we arrived, there was a sense of gratitude, connection, and awe that followed us throughout the day.
We visited Dr. Bob’s home and stepped inside the very living room where the first AA meeting was held. We stood in the room where hundreds of alcoholics were treated by Dr. Bob and reflected on the countless lives that were changed within those walls. One of the most meaningful moments of the day was being led by our Alumni Ambassador, John, in the Third Step Prayer from both AA and NA, bringing us together in a powerful moment of unity and gratitude.
We also paid our respects at the Smith family gravesite, where many in recovery honor the legacy of service by exchanging a sobriety coin. From there, we visited the historic Seiberling Estate, where Henrietta Seiberling introduced Dr. Bob Smith and Bill Wilson—an introduction that would ultimately change the lives of millions around the world.
The day concluded at the stadium with the sobriety countdown and an inspiring speaker meeting led by Tom from Staten Island before holding hands with the whole stadium and saying the Lord’s Prayer and getting to meet up with my pal and Alumni Coordinator, Brandon, from The Farley Center at Williamsburg Place. Tom’s message reminded us of the power of recovery, the importance of carrying the message, and the hope and community that exists for anyone still struggling.
Days like these remind us that recovery is more than abstinence—it is fellowship, love, history, gratitude, service, and connection. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share this experience together and create memories that will stay with us for years to come.
Thank you to our alumni who joined me on this journey. It was an honor to walk where some of recovery began and to celebrate the miracle of recovery alongside each of you. 🤍"
