I regretfully share with you the news that my primary opponent has refused to agree to a debate. I was very much looking forward to discussing the issues and our records in an open televised debate hosted by a national organization and moderated by a state-wide recognized media personality. Unfortunately, my opponent just didn't want to talk about his record in a public forum.

If you see him, ask him, "why didn't you want to debate?"
