This is what I have figured out works best for most of the hardwood that I cut here in northern Indiana, probably 20 miles from the Ohio line and about 45 From the Michigan line.
A lot of pin oak, red oak, white oak, s**g bark Hickory, butterscotch Hickory, Locust and sycamore. I know sycamore is not really a hard wood in my opinion, but I hate it so much I figured i'd mention it.

I'm pretty sure he would sleep with this saw if he could!
