2025 | A Year of Proof, Not Just Promises

As I reflect on 2025, I can honestly say this year stretched me, tested me, and revealed me—but above all, it proved God faithful.

Health-wise, this year was trying. Living with continued challenges from sarcoidosis hasn’t been easy. There were moments of fatigue, uncertainty, and vulnerability. Yet through it all, God sustained me. He watched over me. He strengthened my stability through prayer and gave me the boldness to approach His throne for what I needed—not shrinking back, not apologizing. I learned that fortitude is built in prayer, and faith is exercised in persistence.

Financially, in the midst of this administration, job losses, and people tightening spending, God showed Himself as Jehovah Jireh—our Provider. My household was sustained. Needs were met. Bills paid. Provision didn’t always look flashy, but it was steady, and it was enough.

This year also clarified relationships. God allowed me to see relationships for what they truly are—especially test-of-time relationships. Sometimes you have to step back and observe who shows up for you the way they expect you to show up for them. One of the biggest lessons I learned: putting distance doesn’t mean dishonor. Distance can be a form of wisdom. Distance can be a way of embracing peace. Love also protects the relationships you hold dear.

I also learned—again—that it is okay to take care of me. Even Jesus rested. Rest is not optional; it’s a command. Resting in the Lord is not laziness—it’s obedience.

Another major takeaway: family over everything really does mean family over everything. Ministry, friendships, assignments, and platforms never come before family. God calls families, and love begins at home—first at home, then outward. Showing up for your family is never a distraction from purpose; it’s alignment with it.

My word for 2025 was community. And community didn’t always look like events or visibility—it looked like the people I prayed for, supported, checked on, and allowed to support me. My circle may be smaller, but it’s more intentional. I’m still learning how to show up fully, honestly, and authentically—without abandoning myself.

Academically, God kept me. I’m closing out coursework and entering the final year of my PhD, stepping into the dissertation phase in January. Grace carried me when discipline felt heavy. To walk through the course work with all A’s is nothing but God’s confirmation that I’m following His plan.

And yes—Create2 is still being built. The brand. The vision. The calling. I remain that coach called to unlock hidden treasures, to help others see what God already placed inside them—even while God continues refining me.

2025 wasn’t perfect.
But it was purposeful.
And I’m grateful.
