We’ve been tricked into thinking that "brutal honesty" is the mark of a great leader. Managers wear "constructive criticism" like a badge of honor. They think finding your flaws proves they’re doing their job.

𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆’𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴.

Your boss isn't "coaching" you when they fix your weaknesses. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆’𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂.

When you fix a weakness, you don't become excellent. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲.

❌ A creative genius who takes a "Time Management" course doesn't become a CEO. They become a slightly less messy creative.

❌ A brilliant coder who takes "Public Speaking" doesn't become Steve Jobs. They become a nervous presenter.

𝗡𝗼𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 "𝗔𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲."

The Anti-Candor Manifesto:

1️⃣ 𝗜𝗴𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 "𝗚𝗮𝗽"

Unless a weakness is a fatal flaw, ignore it. Don't spend 100 hours trying to fix a skill you have zero talent for. Hack it. Delegate it. Or just be bad at it.

2️⃣ 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 "𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗸𝗲" 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲

This isn't about being well-rounded. It’s about being lopsided. Find the one thing you do better than 10,000 other people. Pour 100% of your energy into making that gap wider.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵: We don't follow leaders because they have zero defects. We follow them because they’re dangerous at one specific thing.

Stop trying to fix the cracks in the floor.
Start raising the ceiling.
