Forever in our hearts.

The fallen crew of Aerosmith 35 were remembered by Soldiers and guests at an annual candlelight vigil held by the 3-1 Assault Helicopter Battalion, 1st Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, the evening of Dec. 16 at Fort Riley.

On Dec. 17, 2013, the crew from Task Force Gunfighter and their UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter were lost due to enemy activity while deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Chief Warrant Officer 2 Randy Billings, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Joshua Silverman, Sgt. 1st Class Omar Forde, Sgt. Christopher Bohler and Spc. Terry Gordon with the 1st CAB and Staff Sgt. Jesse Williams with the 2nd Cavalry Regiment 2nd Cavalry Regiment, died in the crash.
