Sea n Red Charters
06/30/2026
Cape Coral has over 400 miles of navigable canals. That's more miles of waterway than any other city in the world. And most visiting anglers completely ignore it.
Captain Erik doesn't.
The canal system in Cape Coral is one of the most productive inshore fishing environments in all of Southwest Florida. It connects to Pine Island Sound, the Caloosahatchee River, and some of the best redfish and snook habitat in the state.
What you can catch there:
🐟 Snook — hanging near dock lights, bridge pilings, and mangrove edges
🐠 Redfish — tailing on the flats adjacent to the canal mouths
🐡 Peacock Bass — in some of the more inland residential canals
🎣 Sea Trout — on the grass patches near canal openings
If you want to fish somewhere that doesn't show up in every tourist charter ad, the Cape Coral canals are worth exploring.
