I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Tomas and the team at U First Health. I’m currently recovering from my second inguinal hernia surgery, and once again, I couldn’t be more pleased with the care I received. We first traveled to Fort Myers, FL in 2022 for a hernia repair on my left side. Within six months, I was lifting heavy in the gym with a full and complete recovery—truly remarkable healing. Many of my friends who’ve had mesh repairs have told me they can still feel the mesh even years later. It’s always in the back of their minds to take it easy or be extra cautious. That’s not been my experience at all. Three years later, I developed another hernia on my right side. Living in Northern California, we researched several other facilities that perform hernia repairs. After numerous interviews and a lot of research, we decided to make the cross-country trip back to Fort Myers, FL to see Dr. Tomas again—and I’m so glad we did. After surgery, Dr. Tomas informed me that the hernia was larger and more complicated than expected, but everything went very well. I’m now in my second week of recovery and feeling great—healing quickly and steadily. The entire team at U First was warm, welcoming, and incredibly professional. From the front desk to the finance office, the nurses, and of course, Dr. Tomas himself—every single person was compassionate and caring. Like I said at the top of this review: I cannot recommend these folks highly enough. Absolutely 5 stars.
