When taking my babies to the pediatrician, I was complimented on how happy, healthy, and loved my children are. Their office has seen them blossom over the years and into who they are now, but when it was time for shots and lab-work time froze… I didn’t see my growing babies, I saw my little babies afraid and trying to be strong.

My daughter, was the first to stop the nurse and ask, “Can my mommy hold my hand? Mommy can you hold my hand?” Followed by my son: “Me too. Can you hold my hand?” Their nurse quickly stopped, waited, and smiled… Because children no longer do that… She paused as I sat with each of them and watched as I held each hand, repeating words of strength, and reminding them I will always be there to hold them.❤️‍🩹

The nurse finished and with tears in her eyes, she said: “Amazing job Momma.🥹 Never stop holding their hand… You reminded me that even as adolescents/teenagers, it is okay to hold them.”❤️‍🩹

Time doesn’t stop, but memories do. They won’t remember the toys, clothes, or shoes bought for them; but they will remember you held their hand… I will forever hold theirs.❤️‍🩹

It never is too late and they are never too old. Just hold their hand.🧑‍🧒‍🧒❤️‍🩹✨

These stories about the American Airlines crash are breaking my heart. 💔

One stood out about a wife texting her husband on the plane.

The last text he received from her was that they were landing in 20 minutes.

In his mind, that meant 20 minutes later, she would have landed.
She would have called him and talked to him about the flight,
how the man next to her was friendly, or there was a little girl crying because her ears were popping like any ordinary day.

But instead, his wife is now being recovered from the Potomac River.

How many of us have been in the same position?

We take advantage of how our loved ones are always here. We don’t think the unspeakable will happen. Then it does.
