Kismet Prairie

An update on the first plant Grandma Mary gifted me last year. She is growing strong. Then last weekend she bought me a few more and Momma Linda got me the hanging one. This morning I finished repotting them. They are all so gorgeous. Wish me luck keeping all of these pretty ladies happy, healthy and growing. 🪴

Yesterday I got to gift my latest quilt to my niece Taylor and her hubby Phoenix for Baby Wooldridge. 💙 Congratulations again; it was so much fun seeing everyone and celebrating your sweet baby boy. ❤️

Block 2: Around the Corner for the done!! I wanted to bring in some more solids for this block. I love it. 🩵🩶🤍 Now I’m off to cut out block 3✂️

Block 1: Bloom & Grow for the done!! It’s a little wonky but I haven’t sewn a thing since the summer of 2021. I’m using a curated bundle from Walmart since I’m traveling with Hubby. I’m loving the Aqua, Grey & White color palette. 🩵🩶🤍 Now I’m off to cut out block 2✂️

I have a TON of unpacking, organizing and decorating to do but thanks to my loving hubby I am so close to having my Kismet Prairie studio back. We’ve spent the last three weekends cleaning out this room. It was the room that everything got put during our move in June that didn’t have a spot. Hot mess is understatement of the year. Then I used IKEA’s design tool and planned out every square inch. Then the following weekend we shopped and once we got home. We got three pieces done. Then this weekend we finished up the last three pieces and I spent the rest of the day unpacking while he visited with a friend and relaxed. We had so much fun assembling all the pieces. Lots of laughs and teasing. We make a great team!! I love you LJ ❤️ Thank You for helping me get one step closer to getting crafty. 🧵✂️🎉 Thank You IKEA for great furniture at affordable prices. I love the gray-turquoise option.

It’s my birthday month!! 🥳 My last year in my forties. Hubby & I are working hard to pay off debt, make healthier choices and just enjoy life more as we travel the east coast. We are currently in Virginia and loving it. I highly recommend a trip to see Colonial Williamsburg. It’s a must see! I’m also hoping to check out the Christmas lights at Busch Gardens. My favorite color is Christmas Lights! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🩷
