One day you may realize that your legs no longer fold behind the head as they once did. Perhaps it is strength, perhaps flexibility, perhaps time, injury, or simply the natural design of your body. Yet we must ask: does it truly matter if they fit there at all - only because an image in a book or another body suggests they should? In truth, it does not.

I say this not to dismiss discipline or effort, I believe in both with all my heart, but to remind you of what endures beyond form. In the exploration of Ashtanga Yoga there are countless elements to refine, but above all: show up. Show up for asana, show up for pranayama, for chanting. Show up also in the quiet folds of daily life, for yourself, for what is meaningful.

When you do, the boundary between practice on the mat and practice off it begins to dissolve😉
