Keyway Lock and Safe is hiring for a full time in shop locksmith. We have been providing exceptional locksmith work for Fort Collins and surrounding areas since 1976. We are the only locksmith in Fort Collins that maintains a storefront presence. Experience is preferred but not required, training will be provided. Excellent mechanical aptitude and customer service is a must. We work closely as a team and depend on each person to continue to provide a high level of service and quality work.
Responsibilities
Making keys by duplicating or by code
Keying all types of locks
Creating keys when none currently exist
Programming auto keys
Programming electronic locks
Performing lockouts of cars, residential, and commercial buildings
Maintaining cleanliness of the shop
Computer data entry
Customer scheduling and dispatching management
Selling and installing safes
You will be trained for both in shop and in field service work
Optional commission based after hours work that can be quite significant
Requirements
High level of integrity
Clean criminal and driving records
High School Graduate or GED
Ability to lift 50 and stand for extended periods of time
Background check, drug test and integrity screening
Basic computer skills
High attention to detail and ability to understand differences in keyway profiles
Must be available for full time work
Must be self motivated and be able to perform quality work unsupervised
Must be comfortable using power tools, especially drills, routers and Dremel tools
Must have appropriate dexterity and vision to work with small objects
Preferred
Previous experience in:
Locksmithing
Automotive Repair
Car Audio/Video Installs
Low Voltage Installs
Or other similar fields
