CSU Summer
06/18/2026
“I just knew, as soon as I came onto campus, that I could call this home for the next few years,” said Loma, who participated in the Bridge Scholars mentoring program the summer before her freshman year. “That’s what really set me up for success here. I got to meet other people who were also first generation, who were in similar boats, and I’ve had the opportunity to have many mentors. It was just a support system built from the start.”
CSU Outstanding Grad: Averie Loma, College of Health and Human Sciences For her perseverance and achievements, Averie Loma has been named the outstanding graduate from the College of Health and Human Sciences for Spring 2026.
