Our palette was shaped by nature and guided by restraint. We wanted the home to honor its mid-century modern roots while softening the edges with something a bit more timeless, feminine, and quietly refined.

From that vision came a layered mix of light terrazzo, warm white oak, and rich walnut tones, balanced with subtle touches of earthy green throughout. Every material was chosen to feel grounded and organic, speaking not only to the character of the home itself, but also to the people now caring for this mountain beauty and writing its next chapter.

There’s something especially meaningful about reimagining the heart of a home. At Clarkson Street, the kitchen began as a small, enclosed space—quietly tucked away, with only a single north-facing window to draw in the light.

By removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room, we were able to open the space...inviting in light, connection, and a renewed sense of ease. What once felt closed-in now lives expansively, with room to gather, create, and simply be together.

Now, this kitchen serves as a warm and welcoming backdrop for a young family of three—an everyday place for meals, conversation, and the kind of moments that turn into lasting memories, all within the character-filled charm of their Denver Craftsman bungalow.

Ahh, the checkerboard tile moment, are you into it or not?
It’s definitely having a moment right now, but honestly, when it’s done right, it just feels classic in the best way.

This little bathroom had to work hard—it’s the main bathroom for a young family of three—so we leaned into both function and a bit of personality. The black vanity grounds everything and gives it that nice contrast, while the marble floor keeps things feeling soft and timeless.

We brought in full-height white oak linen cabinets for warmth (and let’s be real, much-needed storage), which tie back to the rest of the house in a really natural way.

And instead of a typical glass shower, we went with a custom linen pinch-pleat curtain from . It softens the whole space, adds a little movement, and keeps things feeling relaxed.
