Here in Georgia a snow day is RARE and our girls were not fans. The snow was a big ole fat NOPE in their book. Also peep, my son's little snowman with a face made of chicken scratch!

My girls are starting out the year pretty strong with 8 beautiful eggs!! I sure do wish indoor lighting gave the blue eggs the justice they deserve!

There were 6 beautiful eggs in the nesting boxes this morning. The girls have started slowing down a little bit between less light and cold. The week of constant deary rainy mess has not helped at all. I love tracking to see who is laying and who isn't. I start by marking on on my chickie sheet and then every night I log them into my spreadsheet that automatically counts my daily count, weekly/monthly average, and as well as weekly/ monthly dozens. I also log my egg counts into a farm app as a back up to keep my data. I have a relatively small flock and also a camera on my nesting boxes so it makes tracking by chicken a lot easier.

Today we are thankful for our wonderful girls that provide for our family as well as others. So far today they've given us 5 beautiful eggs! They sure do go feral over the feed bucket when it's time to refill their feeders.

The 2nd birthday cupcake set up for this year!! My nephew is obsessed and knows I'll deliver with what he wants for his birthday! I don't know if I'll be able to top this year for him! Cupcakes are dye free as well!
