Check on Your People

Sometimes the strongest people are carrying the heaviest burdens.

They show up.
They smile.
They serve.
They keep moving.

But behind the scenes, they may be fighting battles no one can see.

A simple text. A phone call.
A heartfelt “How are you really doing?” can remind someone that they are not forgotten.

The Bible tells us to “bear one another’s burdens” (Galatians 6:2). We cannot carry each other’s pain if we never take the time to check in.

Today, be intentional.

Reach out to the friend who has been quiet. Call the family member who always checks on everyone else. Send encouragement to the person who seems strong enough to handle it all.

You never know how much your kindness, concern, and presence may mean to someone who is struggling in silence.

Prayer

Lord, help me to be mindful of the people You have placed in my life. Give me a heart that notices, ears that listen, and compassion that reaches beyond words. Help me to be a source of encouragement, comfort, and love to those who need it most. Amen.
