Viking Custom Fishing Rods

I'm going to be making a custom rod specific to bridge fishermen, inspired by the damage done to a few of my rods from leaning against the concrete rails on the Rte 9 bridge @ Oyster Creek this rod style will feature a Rhino type scratch resistant bed liner coating for the first 4' of the rod as well as heavy duty butt end for setting on the ground. The first guide will be set a little higher to allow clearance for bridge rails. Will be building prototype on a 7' Lamiglass TFX 7040 CT 20-40lb Fast action. I am going a little heavier than I normally would for an inshore rod because of the fast and strong currents usually found under bridges.
I will be matching the rod to a small Avet reel. Any suggestions are welcome!
