We ask that you use legal fireworks in Oregon, but what does that mean? In Oregon, any firework that flies into the air, explodes, behaves uncontrollably or unpredictably is illegal. Examples of that are fire crackers, cherry bombs, M80's, roman candles, bottle rockets and mortars are just a few examples. These fireworks are not sold at normal retail stores or tents in Oregon. If caught using or possessing them, you could be charged with a Misdemeanor.

What is legal in Oregon? Pop-its, sparklers, fountains, smoke bombs, ground spinners and the ever popular snakes. While these are legal in Oregon, they are still dangerous and can cause injuries and start fires. It is important no matter type of firework, to always set them off in a safe manor. Use on a level area (like pavement or cement) that is away from combustible vegetation or buildings.
