This an idea from another mom and I thought it was a great tip.
An idea for those of you with kids at home right now:

Encourage them to start a journal. Think back on history and how much we value and treasure the writings of those who have been through war, famine, natural disasters, etc. Our kids are living in a unique moment, and their writings will become important to those in the future.

Here are some prompts you could consider giving them:

1. What is the best part of being at home during the covid - 19 pandemic?

2. What am I grateful for today?

3. What is the funniest thing that happened or that I saw/read today?

4. Share a positive human interest story you witnessed or read about today.

5. What are you fears today?

6. How can I help a neighbor today?

7. What did you do that did not involve a screen today?

8. What did you learn today?

9. What are you most looking forward to when life returns to "normal?"

10. Write a prayer for your family, your community, your country, the world.

I would love to hear other ideas. I am planning to start my own journal covering this time period as well. Documenting real life for posterity is so important!
