This is a Market at a Glance for Dec 2022 in California according to the California Association of Realtors. Note Existing Homes Sales were down for December by approximately 44%. The median price for California ( not Sac County) was $774k down 2.8% YTY. Some experts say this could be a seasonal low and others believe it could be a result of the recession. Only time will tell. January numbers come out in mid February. The real drop in prices can be seen in home prices from May 2022 to November 2022 where prices decreased approximately 14% in Sacramento County.
