came a little late today, as we celebrated one of our own officially receiving his APOSTC certification.

Please help us congratulate Officer Brennon Brock for successfully completing the Northeast Police Academy held in Anniston! A graduate of the 198th basic session, Ofc. Brock endured 13 weeks of intensive mental and physical training to prepare him for life as a police officer.

Next, Ofc. Brock will enter the training phase with our own department, before being sent out on his own! We’re excited for his positive, hardworking energy to return to our own PD!

The time that Foley PD employees have been dreading has officially arrived.

After 19 years of service to the city of Foley, Lt. Glenn Hartenstein has retired from the Foley Police Department.

Prior to joining our agency, Lt. Hartenstein worked as a corrections officer for the Denver (CO) Sheriff's Office and as a police officer for the Boulder (CO) Police Department. However, as a New Orleans native, Lt. Hartenstein knew his home was always in the south, so he and his family moved back to Gulf Coast in 2007.

Lt. Hartenstein worked his way up the ranks, spending much of his time in Foley in the Criminal Investigations Division. In the end, he finished up his time with Foley PD serving as the Community Safety Commander, where he supervised the Communications Division and School Resource Officers.

Glenn's work ethic is something that did not go unnoticed in this department. He worked diligently to protect this community, and put his heart and soul into making a positive impact on Foley.

We are so lucky to have had Lt. Hartenstein with us at Foley PD for nearly two decades. Although we will miss his warm greetings each morning, we're happy for this next chapter in his life.
