The Skyview Mall in Flushing is being sold again. The current owners of The Shops at Skyview, the Blackstone group, has agreed to sell the property for $425 million to TPG and Acadia Realty Trust.

John Choe, executive director of the Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce hopes the new owners continue to allow access to the waterfront along Flushing Creek. The property sits on the east bank.

“Skyview is required to provide public access to the waterfront,” Choe said. “They have done that in part by building a walkway. But I am hoping before the sale takes place or once the sale takes place that the new owners will commit to ensuring full public access to the waterfront.”
