Congratulations to our kids for making it to the final round of the Honor Band contest and earning **7th place** out of hundreds of middle schools in the state of Texas! Mr. Patterson and Ms. Schuster are incredibly proud of these awesome students and all their hard work this past school year!

Also - congrats to the Flower Mound Wind Symphony for earning 2nd place in the 6A division!

📣 The Shadow Ridge Honor Winds has advanced to the TMEA 2C Honor Band State Semi-Finals!

At this week's Area C Honor Band Contest, SRMS Honor Winds competed against bands from across the area and earned first place from the panel of judges for their performances of:

🎶 Pas Redoublé — Saint-Saëns/Frackenpohl
🎶 Sonic Pathways — Hervey
🎶 Tears of Princess Joruri — Taruya

These recordings now advance to the state semi-finals in mid-July, where they will compete against many of the finest middle school bands from across Texas.

We are also very proud to move forward alongside the Flower Mound Wind Symphony, who received first place in the 6A high school division of the Honor Band contest! 👏 👏

We are incredibly proud of these students and the outstanding musicianship, dedication, and hard work they have demonstrated throughout the year. What an incredible journey! 💙
