Green Haven Adult Day Program

Yesterday was a perfect example of why socialization matters so much for seniors. The day before our outing to Cracker Barrel, only 4 participants planned to attend. But once everyone came together yesterday and saw their friends getting excited, that number quickly grew to 11! Suddenly they didn’t want to miss out on the fun.

That’s the power of friendship, connection, and community. Social interaction boosts mood, lowers stress and blood pressure, and gives us an overall feel-good sense of belonging.
This is exactly why adult day programs are so vital — especially for seniors living with dementia. Staying engaged, connected, and active with peers can truly make a difference in their quality of life. 💚
