Spent time with some great ladies from The Cornerstone Church today.
Spoke about
Legacy: Love it. Live it. Leave it.
{p.s. it’s also a book in the making}
Pretty special when the Lord put a double rainbow in the sky on our journey there.

Up for a challenge?
Two little one-word questions get in the way of acceptance.
"How?"
"Why?"
When we react with 'how' and 'why' questions to challenging life events, we're at risk of experiencing unfavorable emotions, misguided reactions, or worse, missteps on our faith journey.
Often, we plead, "Make it go away!"
On May 6, in her daily devotional {'Streams in the Desert'}, Mrs. L.B. Cowman writes, "You will learn to master [pressing circumstances] not by stopping their progress but by enduring their discipline."
We need this discipline!
Many favor Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." What Paul writes before this declaration matters! In whatsoever state, Paul learned the secret to contentment. And it wasn't through evasion or extraction.
"I can do all things..." is not focused on us or what we can do! Rather, it is all about what Jesus does in us!
According to Mrs. Cowman, the answer to "How?" is FOR YOUR DISCIPLINE, and the answer to "Why?" is ENDURANCE!
So...here's the challenge:
Accept that life can be hard, so endure!
Accept that people can be difficult, so endure!
Accept that outcomes can be disappointing, so endure!
Accept that things might not go the way you expect, so endure!
Accept that bad news may come today or tomorrow, so endure!
Accept that __________, so endure!
Growing in discipleship requires the discipline of endurance, and endurance requires the discipline of ACCEPTANCE.
And when we're faced with whatsoever state we're in, ACCEPTANCE requires the discipline of eliminating those two one-word questions and tucking in tight to Jesus, who strengthens us.
