With the extremely dry conditions across the P*e Dee, use extra caution when lighting fireworks. Keep a hose or bucket of water nearby, light one firework at a time, and never relight a firework that doesn’t ignite.

When the festivities are over, remember to let used fireworks cool completely, soak them in water overnight, and dispose of them in your household trash. Please take a few extra minutes to pick up any firework debris—it’s a simple way to protect our neighborhoods, parks, pets, and wildlife.

A safe celebration and a little cleanup go a long way in keeping Florence beautiful for everyone.
