In 1964 Boone County Chapter DAR had our first grave marking at Old Burlington Cemetery. And in October 2026 we will mark our 2nd patriot in this cemetery. This video discusses that and shows you the state of the headstone for the October 2026 dedication. We will follow up on the progress on this stones restoration over the next year. Bridget Benz Striker is with the Boone County Historic Preservation Board and is the Historic Preservation Planner for our county. She is also a member of DAR!

Our National Day of Service on October 11th chapter members, and future chapter members/Juniors, spent the afternoon cleaning headstones at the Old Burlington Cemetery and getting a history lesson on the cemetery and those that are laid to rest. We will share some videos from this experience this week!
