Five years ago today, I was pecked in the eyeball by one of my hens. They love shiny things 🤣. If your hens like to porch on your shoulder, remember to watch those eyes!

We’ve got a new layer! I’m hoping her conveyer belt figures it out soon, it’s gonna take three eggs to make one. 🤣

Last post of the morning! Snapped these pictures of the left over clouds from Wednesday nights storms at the farm yesterday. Thought they were pretty cool. Mother Nature sure is somethin.

For anyone who is ever interested in fresh eating eggs, just shoot us a message and we will collect a batch.

We have regular requests now and limited supplies with never enough left over to post to the page. We are working on that as the flock is being expanded slowly.

Let’s use the entire egg! Eggshells can be a great source of calcium and other minerals for your plants, and they can also help to deter pests such as slugs and snails. Here’s how to use eggshells as fertilizer: 1. Collect your eggshells: Start by saving your eggshells after cooking or baking. Rinse them out and let them dry. 2. Crush the eggshells: Once the eggshells are dry, crush them into small pieces. 3. Sprinkle the crushed eggshells onto the soil around your plants. You can also mix the crushed eggshells into the soil before planting. 4. Water the soil after adding the eggshells to help the nutrients in the shells break down and become available to the plants. And voila! Your done!
