Some moments stay with you long after an event is over.

The Brighter Days Conference brought together parents, educators, healthcare professionals, first responders, military leaders, faith leaders, and community members who all came with one shared purpose: learning how we can better support mental health and help prevent su***de.

When the day ended, we kept hearing the same things…

💙 “I don’t feel alone anymore.”
💙 “This gave me hope.”
💙 “I left with practical tools I can actually use.”
💙 “Every community needs conversations like this.”

Those words remind us why this work matters.

Real change begins when people are willing to learn, listen, and take action together. That’s exactly what happened at this year’s conference, and it’s exactly what The Jonathan Foundation is committed to doing every day of the year.

The conference may be over, but the mission continues.

Together, we’re building a community where education replaces stigma, hope replaces isolation, and no one has to walk through life’s hardest moments alone.

Every person has a reason for showing up. 💙

Some run in memory of someone they love.
Some walk beside a friend who needs support.
Some bring their children because they believe the next generation deserves a community where it’s okay to talk about mental health.
And some simply come because they want to make a difference.

For 15 years, Run for Brighter Days has been more than a 5K. It’s been a community choosing hope over silence, education over stigma, and action over awareness alone.

You don’t have to be the fastest runner.
You don’t even have to run.

You just have to care 🫶🏽

Join us on Saturday, September 12 as we remember those we’ve lost, support those who are struggling, and continue building brighter days together.

What if healing is about more than simply feeling better?

One of the most impactful moments from this year’s Brighter Days Conference came when Dr. Baron Short reminded us that true healing isn’t just about reducing symptoms, it’s about restoring the whole person.

Mental health isn’t separate from physical health.
Brain health isn’t separate from emotional health.
And lasting healing doesn’t happen in isolation.

That’s why the Brighter Days Conference brings together healthcare professionals, educators, faith leaders, first responders, parents, and community members. When we work together, we create stronger support systems and brighter futures.

The conference may be over, but the conversation continues.

Together, we’re building a community where education replaces stigma, connection replaces isolation, and hope is always within reach.

Healing is about so much more than making symptoms disappear.

One of the most powerful reminders from this year’s Brighter Days Conference came from Dr. Baron Short:

“Healing is not only symptom reduction. It’s the re-formation of the whole person.”

Too often, we think healing means getting back to who we were before. But true healing is about becoming who we were created to be.

It involves our minds, our bodies, our relationships, our purpose, and our community. It’s why the Brighter Days Conference brings together healthcare professionals, educators, first responders, faith leaders, parents, and community members. Because lasting change happens when we care for the whole person not just one piece of their story.

These conversations don’t end when the conference is over. They continue in our homes, our schools, our churches, our workplaces, and throughout our community.

Together, we can create brighter days ahead.

💙 What does the word healing mean to you? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
