Next up on our Meet the Managers series is Heather, our Social Services Director!

Heather was born in Milwaukee, WI, moving to Iron River, MI when she was in 1st grade. She was a graduate of West Iron County High School. Heather is a mom to two grown children who live in the Iron River area. She showed work ethic at a young age beginning at KFC in high school, after high school she discovered her passion in long term care as a CNA. Then earned an associate's degree in social work in 2025 and at this time is continuing on for bachelor's degree in social work.
When not at work, you can find her helping others out, cooking, or just relaxing with her dog, Tank. She likes to be with friends and socialize with others. Summer and fall are her favorite seasons. One fun fact about Heather she lived in Hawaii for 6 years. She stated it was amazing to see the beaches daily. One thing still on her bucket list is to travel to states such as Arizona, Tennessee or Florida.
Here in Florence, she is active with our residents within the social services role and participates in dress up days and parties to promote the life enrichment of our residents. Thanks, Heather, for all you do to make our facility great!

Sierra is our Employee of Month for June! She is an LPN on dayshift. Sierra does a great job of keeping things organized, prioritizing tasks, and is always willing to pick up an extra shift. Thank you, Sierra, for all you do! Pictured with our DON Serina.
