Memorial Day weekend in Gulfport was a success! We had a slow start Saturday, but found ways to get wins. Sunday started strong, but after a break we came out a little sluggish and couldn’t find a way to win our second bracket game.

Our girls knew they still had something to prove, and the only way to finish on top was to dig deep — and that’s exactly what they did. They battled back, earned another win, and fought their way back into the championship game.

In the championship game they came ready to play, doubling up on the previously undefeated team to bring home 1st place! 🏆

A lot of learning moments this weekend, but the biggest lesson was this: a bad outing or a loss doesn’t define you — how you respond does. Proud of this team for showing resilience, heart, and determination all weekend long.

Had a fun day at Southern Miss Softball today. The girls got to go out on the field before the game and meet some of the players after the game. Thankful for the opportunity and enjoyed watching them finish off the series sweep today against South Alabama.

Had a great weekend in Monroe. 7-2 on the weekend against some tough competition. Saturday we fell short in our second bracket game and put us in the losers bracket. Sunday was battle day, our girls battled back 5 games in a row and came up short in the semifinals after a walk off sac fly to center. Proud of these girls this weekend.

Also we would like to thank everyone that prayed for Mak Saturday after she took a ball to the head. It scared us all but she stayed strong and after being cleared at the ER she returned to the battle on Sunday.
