Round 1 of letting go
I started this cover up on a day I could barely hold myself together.

I didn’t film myself doing this tattoo because I honestly didn’t have it in me.
Life has felt so heavy lately.

Healing isn’t beautiful. It isn’t linear. Some days I feel like I’m finally finding my way, and other days the weight of postpartum feels like it’s crushing me. This week was one of those weeks.
So instead of picking up my camera, I picked up my machine.
I started covering tattoos that remind me of a version of myself who was hurting. A girl who was lost, angry, broken, and carrying more pain than she knew what to do with.
For a long time, I thought I’d always be her.
But I’m not.
This cover up isn’t just about changing a tattoo.
It’s about letting go of a chapter that no longer gets to define me.
It’s about choosing healing, even when it hurts. Especially when it hurts.

Today, I chose myself.
Tomorrow, I’ll choose myself again.
One day at a time, I’m finding my way back to me.

In other news I found out I’m a total baby.
So I didn’t get super far. She’s far from finished
But she’s getting there and I love her already.
