Side Lot Success 🌱 Through our Lots Available program, GCLBA makes vacant residential lots available to adjacent homeowners. Over the years we have seen some amazing side lot transformations.

🏚️ GCLBA received the structure after tax foreclosure in 2017.
🔨 The structure was demolished with County ARPA grant funds early in 2024.
🌿 The neighbor purchased the property soon after and immediately turned it into a side yard sanctuary.

Land Bank crews are on the move. Our seasonal crews are working across Flint and Genesee County, mowing grass, removing trash, and maintaining Land Bank owned properties. Their work follows a schedule that adjusts for weather and property conditions, but the goal never changes: keep neighborhoods clean and safe.

Crews visit every Land Bank property in the City of Flint at least once a year. They also maintain vacant properties throughout Genesee County that are part of the Land Bank inventory.
