This is one of the biggest myths I hear from college performers.

If you’re studying Musical Theatre, Acting, Vocal Performance, or Commercial Dance, there’s absolutely no rule that says you have to wait until graduation—or your showcase—to secure professional representation.

In fact, many performers sign with agents and managers before they graduate…and still participate in their senior showcase.

I’ve worked with clients who have:

✨ Signed during their sophomore year.
✨ Signed during their junior year.
✨ Realized they already had enough credits to graduate early, signed with representation, and started working professionally sooner than they ever imagined.

The key isn’t waiting.

The key is understanding how the industry actually works, having a strategy, and being willing to think outside the traditional path.

Too many performers assume there’s only one roadmap because it’s the only one they’ve been shown.

There isn’t.

If your goal is to start building a professional career while you’re still in school, learn from people who are actively working in the industry, who understand today’s marketplace, and who genuinely have your best interests at heart.

I’d be happy to have a conversation with you.

If you’re a college student or young adult performer and you’d like to explore what steps you can take to position yourself for representation sooner rather than later, send me a DM with the word READY.

I’ll happily share information, answer your questions, and help you determine what your next best steps could be.

Your career doesn’t have to begin after graduation.

For many performers…it starts long before then.
