Today, we pause to honor the legacy of a very special man, Douglas Stryker, AKA Mr. Pops.

One year ago today, we lost someone who meant the world to our store and to all of us who knew him. Many of you see him every single time you walk through our doors, often without even realizing it. He is the inspiration behind the character in our logo, a lasting symbol of the man who helped bring this place to life.

In the year since his passing, we’ve carried his vision forward with deep gratitude. His belief in this store, his work ethic, and his quiet determination continue to guide us every day.
What we’ve missed most is his character, his warmth, his humor, and that special presence that made everyone around him feel at home.
In our yearning for his presence, we follow his example by giving back to the community in every way we can, just as he always did throughout his career.

Doug, we know you’re still with us. We feel your spirit in these walls and in every milestone we reach. We promise to keep making you proud through hard work, integrity, and a commitment to the success you always believed in.
Thank you for everything you gave us. Your legacy lives on here, every single day.
