Working in a male-dominated field, and at times being the only woman in the room, can be intimidating. Your first instinct might be to stay quiet or hesitate to speak up and share your ideas. Early in my career, I quickly realized that my ideas, perspectives, and contributions could absolutely be heard and respected, but only if I was confident in myself and my abilities.

One way to help build that confidence is by having strong female mentors throughout your career. Seeing women in leadership positions and learning from their experiences helps show what is possible and provides encouragement to continue pursuing your own professional goals. I have been fortunate to work alongside several amazing women within our company who have set strong examples through their leadership, knowledge, and confidence. Their mentorship has helped me grow immensely, both professionally and personally, and I am incredibly grateful for the support and guidance they have provided throughout my career.

Diverse perspectives are incredibly valuable in engineering because every individual approaches problems differently. Creating an industry where women feel supported and encouraged to contribute not only strengthens teams but also leads to better collaboration, innovation, and project outcomes.

The Structural Tenderloin Society made its latest stop at the Aristocrat Pub and Restaurant in Broad Ripple.

Bonus points awarded for the Fried Green Tomato Caprese, Sprecher Root Beer on tap, and some of the coolest decor around — vintage signs, antiques, and collectibles everywhere you looked.

A big congratulations to Camille Urbanski on passing the Professional Engineer (PE) exam.

Earning a PE license is a major milestone that reflects years of hard work, technical growth, and dedication to the profession. We’re proud of Camille and excited to see her continue growing as an engineer and leader at CE Solutions.

Also, in an effort to properly celebrate the occasion, we may or may not have asked AI to generate a caricature version of Camille for this post. The results were… structurally questionable, but the accomplishment is very real.
