One small shift that Reggio-inspired teachers use all the time: instead of answering your child's question right away, ask them what they think first.
"Why do you think the shadow moves?" "What do you think would happen if we tried that?"
It sounds small. But it tells your child their ideas are worth something. And it usually leads somewhere way more interesting than the original question.

In Reggio-inspired classrooms, everything in the room: the materials, the layout, even what's on the walls, is there for a reason.
Teachers photograph children's work and write down their ideas, because what your child is wondering about is treated as real and worth keeping track of.
It's an approach that sees your child as a capable thinker from day one.
