For many individuals living with chronic conditions, each day begins with a limited amount of energy (or “spoons”).
Every task, from getting dressed to attending meetings or running errands, uses a spoon. Once those spoons are gone, the body needs time to rest and recharge.
At Guardian Care, understanding experiences like this for our caregivers, and our own team members with chronic illnesses, helps us lead with more empathy, compassion, and support for the communities we serve every day.

Have you ever driven past the colorful house on Broad Ripple Avenue and wondered what goes on inside? 👀
In just two weeks, you can come see for yourself!
Join us for our Open House on June 24 and enjoy therapy dogs from Paws and Think, a mini concert by a member of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Chick-fil-A, sweet lemonade, tours of our space, and a chance to learn more about the programs that support adults living with life-altering diagnoses and the families who love them.
A special thank you to CenterWell Senior Primary Care for helping make this celebration possible. We hope to see you there!

Freddy Fever heard it here first: Guardian Care is BACK and bigger than ever at the Indiana Black Expo!
This year, we’re excited to attend alongside our HHA affiliate, Guardian Health, and we’re especially proud to serve as a transportation sponsor, helping Indiana families get connected to the events, resources, and support available throughout IBE.
We had an incredible time last year and we’re looking forward to returning to Indianapolis to continue sharing information about paid family caregiving and connecting people to the resources they need.
We know times are tough, but our commitment is tougher. We’ll never stop advocating for Indiana families, helping caregivers navigate support systems, and making sure they know they may be eligible to get paid for the essential care they provide every day.
Are you planning to attend IBE this year? Let us know in the comments what you’re most looking forward to. We’d love to see you there!

June 1 – 7 is National CPR & AED Awareness Week, spotlighting life-saving skills that can really make a difference when every second matters.
For all caregivers, knowing how to successfully administer CPR is a requirement - a tool that helps caregivers stay confident, prepared, and ready to act in critical moments.
We know access to training isn’t always easy or affordable. That’s why we fully reimburse our caregivers for CPR & TB certifications and re-certifications. It’s just one way we support family caregivers along their journey.
When it comes to caregiver support, take a breath... Guardian Care has your back! Send us a message with any questions or to get started.
