Your gut health is not “extra”—it’s foundational. 💛

If you’re tired, bloated, breaking out, craving sugar, anxious, or your hormones feel “off,” I’m going to say something simple: start with your gut!

One of the easiest ways to check in with your gut health is asking: How often am I having a bowel movement?

✅ A healthy goal for most people is 1–3 formed, comfortable bowel movements per day (ideally after meals).

🚩 If you’re going less than once daily, straining, or skipping days… your body may not be eliminating waste effectively.

Why it matters:

When digestion is sluggish, waste and toxins hang around longer than they should. That can impact:
• Energy
• Mood & brain fog
• Skin
• Immune system
• Inflammation
• Hormone balance (because hormones are processed and eliminated through the gut!)

Quick gut-friendly habits you can start today:

🥬 Fiber: add greens, berries, beans, chia/flax (increase slowly)

💧 Hydration: aim for clear-to-light yellow urine
🚶🏽‍♀️ Movement: a 10–15 min walk after meals supports motility

🧘🏽‍♀️ Nervous system support: deep breathing before meals helps digestion

🦠 Probiotics + prebiotics: food first when possible (yogurt/kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi, onions, garlic)

⏰ Routine: try sitting on the toilet after breakfast—train the body

If you’re consistently constipated, having diarrhea, seeing blood, losing weight unexpectedly, or having severe abdominal pain—please don’t ignore it. Get evaluated.
