Handbags That Help

It was a wonderful evening of celebration as we concluded the 2025-2026 Handbags Grant Cycle! Grant awards were given to Awakening Minds Art, Valley Health System/Hospice, Patient Services of Hancock County and The Center for Safe and Healthy Children. Brandi Laurita, VP of Student Affairs at University of Findlay presented an inspiring message to "Be Genuine". Outgoing Guiding Circle members were thanked for their service and returning members were recognized. The club enjoyed delicious food and drink at the beautiful Findlay Country Club as we celebrated collective philanthropy in our community.

Our March meeting provided the opportunity to hear from four grant nominees and from Alissa Preston, representing the Community Foundation, talking about the Acorn Fund. We are grateful to the Grants Committee for all their hard work!

Members have until March 25th at 5:00 pm to cast their ballot for this year's funding and until March 31st to submit comments for a membership survey.

Attendees enjoyed delicious food and fellowship and in spite of the torrential downfall, it was great to be together again.
