Email phishing scams have become more deceptive than ever. If someone sends you an email with an attachment or embedded links, it's critical to scrutinize the email before taking any actions such as downloading the attachment, clicking on links, and most importantly, entering any login info. When in doubt, find a way to confirm the email is legitimate that doesn't involve emailing that person back - we just cleared up a phishing mess yesterday for a client and they had access to the person's account for 8 hours and were deleting emails from people asking if the email was legitimate. Call them, text them, message them on a chat service, etc.

As always, we can help clients re-secure their accounts in cases where they've been compromised.

Current status - upgrading dozens of computers to Windows 10 at the Downtown Boxing Gym Youth Program!

We're working nonstop over the next 72 hours to get as many of our clients moved over to Windows 10 as we can. It won't be possible to get everyone though, and folks who haven't reached out to us are running out of time.

The upgrade process isn't 100% foolproof, but we have run into very few issues that we couldn't resolve post-installation, so for our clients who meet the following criteria, we're recommending you go ahead with the update without our hands-on assistance and we'll be sure to work with you to resolve any problems as soon as we can.

* If your computer is less than 5 years old
* If you know you have a good back up of the data on your computer
* and if you want to save yourself $100+ on the cost to upgrade to Windows 10 after July 30th

Then start the update process before Friday, July 29th at 6pm. If you'd like to ensure things are working out of the gate, or if you don't have a reliable backup, or if you're not sure if your computer is a good candidate, you can bring your computer to us during office hours before Friday and we will do the install and perform thorough testing to ensure everything works correctly afterward, but you must reach out to us ASAP!
