A GLOWING botanical method aquarium built by our friend AlexB Aquatics
How can anyone not enjoy a tannin stained aquarium?
My new scape is GLOWING in the corner of the fish room, and I love it!
Inspired by a flooded forest habitat of Colombia, I used cuttings from my pothos to mimic terrestrial plants that have been inundated by the floodwaters. For once, I also used biotope correct botanicals, with a lovely mix of Colombian species from BettaBotanicals.

Being an empty nester is more difficult than I thought 😭 This is one of the steps I decided to take for 2026, moving away from breeding projects and transitioning toward habitat and display botanical method aquariums to show process, to show methods, to show the natural behaviors of fish, and tint-spire your next ecosystem. 🍂🥃🌿
