We may be the Cape Verde of this competition… 🇨🇻🎨🔌

No one expected us to make it this far.

This is The Paint Plug’s first-ever appearance in the STL Headliner competition, and somehow we’ve fought our way into the Knockout Round against companies that have been around much longer and are many times our size.

We’re proud to be the smallest company still standing, and it’s only because of the incredible support from our customers, friends, family, and community.

If you’ve been cheering us on, we’d be incredibly grateful if you could help us keep this Cinderella run alive by voting for The Paint Plug

Every single vote matters. Let’s see how far we can climb!

Thinking about a kitchen overhaul but not the price tag of new cabinets?

Painting your existing cabinets is the most cost-effective way to get a high-end look without the construction headache. If your cabinet boxes are still in good shape, there's no reason to rip them out and start over.

We focus heavily on the prep work: cleaning, sanding, and professional-grade priming: to ensure the final finish doesn't just look good on day one, but actually holds up to daily life. You get that factory-smooth finish for a fraction of the cost of a full remodel, and the whole project usually wraps up in a week rather than months.

Whether you’re looking to brighten things up with a classic white or go bold with a modern navy, it’s the fastest way to completely change the vibe of your home.

DM us for a quote if you’re ready to refresh your kitchen.

Wrapping up a big week.

We’ve been moving fast across Kirkwood, St. Charles, and both O'Fallons. All that prep work and taping from the start of the week is finally showing those sharp results we're after. There’s nothing better than seeing the fresh paint go up and the space start to transform.

The crews are putting in the work to get these looking right. Time to finish strong and head into the weekend.

A lot of people ask if they can skip the primer or just use a paint-and-primer-in-one. Honestly? Usually, the answer is no.

If you’re going over dark walls or painting wood trim, skipping a dedicated high-quality primer is a recipe for peeling paint and ugly bleed-through down the road. It might look okay for a week, but the finish won't last.

We don't cut corners. We use high-quality primers for every job to make sure the paint bonds perfectly and the colors stay true. It’s the secret to getting that clean, professional finish that actually lasts. It’s not just about the top coat; it’s about the foundation.

Seeing it all over St. Louis right now: folks are done with “millennial gray” everywhere.

Warm, earthy colors are taking over: soft beiges, greiges with warmth, clay tones, muted greens, and creamy whites. They make rooms feel more lived-in and less cold, especially with wood floors, black hardware, and natural light.

If you’re thinking about a repaint but don’t want to guess, we can help dial in the right warm tone so it doesn’t read yellow or muddy once it’s on the wall.

Catching wood rot early is the difference between a $100 fix and a $1,000 repair.

It's spring, so take five minutes to walk around your house. Check the window sills and door trim for any peeling paint or soft spots. If you catch it now, it’s a simple fix. If you wait until the wood is shot, you’re looking at a much bigger bill for replacement.

A little maintenance goes a long way. Stay ahead of it.
