Efteling has announced they will be building a huge new $57m USD (50m €) coaster for the 2029 season! Missie Luminar will be a Suspended Launch Coaster, with a top speed of 50mph (80kmh), over two minutes of ride time, and multiple moments of weightlessness airtime! 18-passenger trains will whiz past the park entrance as they're taken on a highly-themed journey to try and break the light barrier.
While not confirmed description on their website, as well as analyzing the concept art, lead us to believe this will be a Vekoma Thrill-Glider coaster, which rides the line between a motorbike coaster and a flying coaster! The first installation of this model will be the new coaster coming to Six Flags Magic Mountain. The concept art also shows some form of rolling inversion in the background, and the park specifically states that this will be a thrill coaster!
This is the largest development for coaster enthusiasts the park has made in quite some time, and we can not be more excited! As 2029 approaches, we will see more and more of this ride as it comes to life!

Betty's Beerchen Boomerang is a new, custom Vekoma Family Boomerang located at Karls Erlebnis-Dorf Döbeln, just west of Dresden, Germany! The family coaster stands 82ft tall and has a top speed of over 37mph. The zippy children’s coaster features multiple quick S-Bends and small airtime hills, with an adorable strawberry theme to boot!
We think this ride looks super cute, and would love to see more of this layout pop up elsewhere!
